about

It is with love and respect that I acknowledge that this album was recorded on the ancestral, traditional and unceded Indigenous territories of the Lekwungen First Nations.

Recorded in a secret cabin on Vancouver Island, Elder Sister Plum's second full length album, At The Edge Of The Woods, is a journey full of ghost stories and dreams. With a sense of longing delicately woven into each song, feelings of heart ache are accentuated, yet we are reminded that there is growth and strength to be found amongst the shadows.

Elder Sister Plum mixed and edited this album to encompass a technically low fi sound, while the compositions remain expertly polished. Plum collaborated with two classically trained musicians, adding ghostly cello and warm classical guitar, resulting in a sound that is inviting, soothing yet somewhat ominous. Layering her own voice into intricate harmonies, Plum creates an added sweetness and depth to the arrangements.

Alluring, thoughtful and solemn, At The Edge Of The Woods is an album that will hook you in and keep you entranced.
